We love documentaries! We love to make them, we love to watch them, we love to share them. NW Documentary currently holds a small, but ever-growing, collection of locally and independently produced documentaries, which we make available for in-house viewing, or check-out by members. We are always on the lookout for new and classic works to add to the collection, so please feel free to donate your favorite documentary to the lending library.
We use non-linear digital editing in our original productions and we invite current and former workshop students, as well as independent documentary filmmakers to come in and complete their projects. (Editing Stations are Mac G4 computer with current version of Final Cut Pro software, optional storage drive space.) Rental prices vary by equipment and duration. Please email for current rates.
As documentary storytellers, we are always available to help projects in progress with friendly advice on scripting, editing style, pacing, characters, archival footage, and may be able to offer some pointers from our own experience. Friendly advice gladly given, but actual hours of consultation negotiable with donation or in-kind trade. First-time filmmakers or those looking for more hands-on experience in the documentary craft, should check out our workshops.
